Groupware Application Wins Award

The Victorian Division of the Australian Property Institute (API) Excellence in Property Awards recognizes innovation and outstanding achievement across the entire property industry with individuals, group and sector projects being eligible to enter one or more categories.
 
The API is an independent bi-partisan professional body with the broadest possible involvement in the property industry and organizes and hosts a broad, industry wide recognition programme.
 
Groupware Consulting Pty Ltd developed MapsOnline, a web mapservice, for Department of Planning and Community Development which was a joint winner of the API Maddocks Property Industry Award for 2006.

MapsOnline is the interactive aspect of the Urban Development Program report which enables users to search for specific projects, generate reports and print or download maps and statistical reports. Anyone with computer and internet access is able to access this information any time. 

Users of MapsOnline can access specific land supply data by region, local government area, estate name, Melway reference, street address, lot number or a user defined catchment based on their area of interest.  Users can also extract detailed information on specific project areas with a click of a button, including details of the projected development timing, anticipated dwelling or lot yield, zoning, cadastre and project area.

MapsOnline is the only Web-based site of its kind in Australia, and has generated interest both nationally and internationally – from Perth, WA to Vancouver, Canada.
