Open Source

Groupware utilises a number of widely adopted open source frameworks in order to facilitate rapidly built, reliable applications. We believe in the open source paradigm and Groupware developers are supported to contribute to open source projects.

As a company, Groupware makes extensive use of the Spring Framework and has developed a number of extensions to facilitate rapid development of web applications using Spring. In particular, Groupware has developed Spring Layout as a model view controller for integration into Spring.  It enables rapid development of form-based web applications. 

Groupware have released Spring Layout to the community as our contribution to Open Source. You can find Spring Layout as an Open Source project with SourceForge and we will continue to release more extensions, for example iTrack, in the upcoming months.
