Issue

Our client required a common security gateway that would authenticate access to a range of software applications within their organisation.

The solution needed to be simple and easy to use yet powerful enough to allow the organisation to define varying levels of access to business applications by its internal and external users. 

Solution

Groupware developed and delivered an n-tier* application with a service oriented architecture (SOA). Industry Best Practice standards were applied using the Acegi Security framework allowing ultimate flexibility and stability.

*n-tier is Groupware’s preferred style of multiple layering that incorporates 3 or more tiers including the Presentation layer, Business Logic layer/s and Data layer/s.

Result

The Security Portal application is a highly successful application which continues to be expanded upon and used. This particular application has resulted in cost savings and service streamlining for our client.
